Midway through the first half, Perez got the ball on the right flank, near the corner flag. With a defender marking him, he tried a hopeful cross which actually ended up being a shot on goal.
The shot soared over the goalkeeper and into the left side of the net – an incredibly lucky goal!
Although Vancouver equalized in the second half, Perez scored another to win the game and the Man of the Match award.
